Services : Environmental Site Assessments

Williamson Environmental provides comprehensive Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs) for real estate, legal, lending, commercial, and residential clients. We have the regulatory knowledge and extensive experience necessary to determine the environmental integrity and possible environmental liabilities of a property, and we tailor our site assessment services to meet each client's needs.

ASTM Phase I ESA (ASTM E 1527-13)

  • Transaction screening
  • Site reconnaissance, including research on historical and current property ownership and usage
  • Documentation of underground or aboveground storage tanks and any surface or subsurface contamination
  • Geologic and hydrologic research on property and surrounding land
  • Review of information from Federal, State, and local environmental regulatory agencies
  • Preparation of ASTM Phase I ESA that presents research and provides recommendations if further action is necessary

ASTM Phase II ESA (ASTM E 1903-11)

  • Preparation of Site Investigation Plan
  • Observation of drilling activities and subsurface conditions
  • Sampling of soil, ground water, drinking water, and air, and submission of samples for laboratory analysis
  • Preparation of ASTM Phase II ESA that presents research and provides recommendations if further action is necessary

MCP Phase I (310 CMR 40.0480)

  • Documentation of historical and current site ownership/use and surrounding land use
  • Identification of underground and aboveground storage tanks
  • Geological and hydrological research on site and surrounding land
  • Review of information from Federal, State, and local environmental regulatory agencies
  • Interpretation of soil and ground water analytical results and identification of potential exposure hazards
  • Preparation of Phase I Report that presents Phase I research and evaluates need to conduct Immediate Response Actions
  • Notification of pertinent public entities

MCP Phase II (MCP 310 CMR 40.0830)

  • Review of site information
  • Documentation of drilling and monitoring well installations
  • Interpretation of soil, ground water, sediment and air analytical results
  • MCP Method 1 (2 or 3) Risk Characterization
  • Imminent Hazard Evaluation
  • Preparation of Phase II Report that presents Phase II research and evaluates need for further action
  • Notification of pertinent public entities
